Before becoming the “Running Man” star that we know today, Lee KwangSoo got his start as a model while still in high school. Afterwards, he was inspired to join a theater company, leading him to also pursue an acting career. Now, whether it’s through his roles in dramas, appearances in variety shows, or posing at a photoshoot, Lee KwangSoo exudes an undeniable charm that has captured the hearts of many. 2. Kim WooBin
Kim WooBin first dreamed of becoming a model and made his debut on the runway in 2008. Although he did see success in the fashion industry, walking multiple times for Seoul Fashion Week, the Hallyu star decided to try his hand at acting. He even studied with an acting coach, already showing his drive and determination. Now, we can see that his hard work has paid off, becoming a name recognized by K-Drama fans all over the globe.
3. Wi HaJoon
At first, Wi HaJun started off his career as a model. Even when he entered the world of acting, he played minor supporting roles in dramas such as “Something in the Rain”, “Romance Is a Bonus Book”, and “18 Again”. It wasn’t until his breakout role in worldwide hit, “Squid Game”, did Wi HaJun become a global sensation, stealing the hearts of fans everywhere. Now, no one can deny Wi HaJun’s overflowing charisma.
4. Lee SooHyuk
Modeling since 2006, Lee SooHyuk’s sharp features and out of this world proportions have landed him a spot on various runways. Not only has he walked for top South Korean fashion brands like Songzio and Juun.j, but he has also walked for global brands like JW Anderson and Balenciaga. Despite his cold looks and unique visuals, once you see Lee SooHyuk smile your heart simply melts and the actor shows his kind and warm-hearted nature. We love to see a versatile king.
5. Hwang InYoup
Hwang InYoup had many dreams growing up from fashion design to modeling and even acting. But due to his timid personality, he was hesitant to pursue his dreams. It wasn’t until he met someone in the military that InYoup changed his mind, gathering up the courage to attend a modeling audition after his military discharge. Thanks to his perseverance, he was led into the world of acting and has become the rising star we know today!
6. So JiSub
So JiSub needs no introduction. This Hallyu star has been making waves for decades, starring in hits like “I Am Sorry, I Love You”, “Master’s Sun”, and “Oh My Venus”. Although JiSub has racked up all these accolades for his acting skills alone, his career began with a runway debut in 1995. So JiSub won a modeling contest sponsored by STORM jeans and since then, has become one of the most successful model turned actors in the K-Drama world.
